Local women re-entering workforce get suited up for work

Karron Alford with Women in Media Baton Rouge shared about this year's "Attire for Hire" Annual Clothing Drive to be held Saturday, March 31 from 8:00 a.m. to noon benefitting local women who are ren-entering the workforce. 

Keans Cleaners, co-host of the drive will hold the clothing collections at two of their worksites at 8967 Jefferson Highway at I-12 and 4665 Perkins Road at College Drive.

All donors will receive a coupon for $5 off at Kean's Fine Dry Cleaning for their generosity. 

Alecia Kleinpeter with Cenikor, a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in BR, and recipient organization of the clothes shared the importance of these women who are trying to get back into the workforce and need help to put forth their best appearance. 

She also said that Cenikor is looking for men's clothing as well. 

They are looking for gently-used items- clothing, belts and shoes.
