La State Parks Great Place For Summertime Fun

Sharon Broussard with La State Parks came on BR Lagniappe to share about many state Parks that are great for day trips. Broussard said that there are many La. State Parks that are a dozen state parks that are just one hour away from Baton Rouge : Tickfaw, Historic Sites in St. Francisville, Audubon, Rosedown and Centennary, Fairview, Riverside, Fountainbleu, Lake Fausse Point, and  Palmetto Island. Broussard said thatt many have cabins, RV grounds, and camps for family reunions.  Broussard then shared about Bogue Chitta State Park road constuction underway.  Overall, there are 22 recreational camps, 17 historical sites and 1 recreational park.  Prices vary from $12 to 150.00 to stay at the parks.  For more information visit www. lastateparks.com .
