Families Helping Families 3rd Annual Event Approaching

Jamie Tisdale with Families Helping Families of GBR and Tanja Foil, Bd Member , who has a son with autism , shared about this organization that lends support to families with children who have autism. Tanja Foil shared about the organization's Resource Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders , why was it established and how it has benefited people on the autism spectrum.
Jamie Tisdale shared more about the organization's services and related particulars about this year's event : The 3rd Annual Active for Autism 5K Run/Walk & Fun Fest on-line registration page has gone live and the public can now begin registering for the event. This year’s Active for Autism Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the State Police Training Headquarters on Independence Boulevard in Baton Rouge, LA. Registration to walk or run is $20 and includes a t-shirt. To register as an individual, form a team or join an existing team, visit the Families Helping Families of Greater Baton Rouge website at www.fhfgbr.org and click on the Active for Autism Run/Walk icon.
