Facebook Privacy Issues Now Hitting the Workplace

Baton Rouge, La — Dr. Shirley White with Success Images said that employers nationwide are now asking perspective employees for their Facebook password when they go for an interview.
White stated that there is controversy surrounding this issue as some say that it is a privacy issue and others say that there is no way that they would surrender their password to an employer.
She went on to say that an employer is able to get an employee's password that is would give them access to private information such as age, religion, sports likes and dislikes, and other information that could be detrimental to the employee.
Dr. White advised persons using Facebook to create a public page for their site and a personal page . She further gave viewers several suggestions as to how to politely refuse their perspective employer's request to gain their password.
