Jackie Heroman with the Make A Wish Foundation joined this week's episode of Baton Rouge Lagniappe to discuss their organization, which grants terminally ill children a wish.
Medically eligible kids who are between the ages of 2-10 who reside in the state of Louisiana are eligible.
Heroman shared that they are offering two new ways people can donate to help grant these children wishes.
One is their "Check the right choice," where taxpayers can opt to donate a part or all of their state income tax refund to the Make a Wish Foundation.
The other is " Wishes in Flight," where people who have accrued unused flight miles can donate them to the foundation for use for families who need to fly to complete their child's wish.
