CASA Seeks Men For Program

April is Child Abuse Awareness Month and in May CASA is offering classes for people interested in becoming CASA Advoates. Emily Hebert with CASA shared about the role of these Court Appointed Special Advocates . More than 250 children in East BR Parish will be placed in foster care this year because of abuse and neglect at the hands of their caregivers. These children need CASA volunteers to go to bat for them so they will not be lost in the cracks of the system. Emily shared that their is a great need for men to step up and become CASA advocates. For more information on the classes and how to become a CASA advocate, call : (225) 379-8598 or visit www.casabr.com.
