LSU’s Swine Palace Theatre has teamed up with Playmakers of Baton Rouge to put on a production of the musical “Godspell.” Director Anthony McMurray explains why the actors greeted him at rehearsals by calling him “Jesus.” We also talked with one of the young actors, Vivian Brown, who will knock you off your feet. At only 11-years-old, this young lady attending St. Thomas More in Baton Rouge has star power to spare.

The production of “Godspell” will run August 4-7 at the LSU School of Music and Dramatic Arts. For more information log on to www.swinepalace.org.

Baton Rouge Lagniappe is hosted by Matt Kennedy and airs on WVLA NBC33 every Sunday at 5 a.m. The show also airs on our sister stations WGMB FOX44 Sunday at 6 a.m. On WBRL on Saturday at 6 a.m. On KZUP on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m.
