BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) - Inclement weather has caused flash flooding in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas.
The flooding is a mix of the torrential downpour the area received since the morning and the saturation caused by storms last weekend. The area has already received 2-3 inches of rainfall today alone.
There is a flash flood watch in effect for the entire NBC33 viewing area until Wednesday afternoon. Isolated areas may experience 4-6 inches, with rain amounts of 2-3 inches falling across southern Louisiana.
Stay tuned to NBC33 for weather updates as they occur.
