LOCAL NEWS- If passed, House bill 927 would put the Southern University system under the control of the University of Louisiana system. As you can imagine, this has stirred up quite a bit of controversy on the Southern University campus as well as with state legislators. In our crime tracker this morning, agents rounded up a list of people on drug charges in Assumption Parish as part of an eight month undercover investigation called 'Operation Should Have Got a Real Job'.
