LAFAYETTE, La (NBC 33)- Dylan Decote and five other boy scouts are now safely back at home. That’s after they were rescued by the Arkansas National Guard after spending more than a day and half in the Arkansas wilderness.

Parents and other members of their Boy Scout troop welcomed them home with open arms today. There was no doubt who was the most excited people to see the six return home, their parents. These are parents like Jessica Decote, “It was pretty much up and down, a rollercoaster.”

While his mom was scared, Dylan says his Boy Scout training made all the difference, “we train. We prepare for stuff like this, so we were alright.’
