Two senior cats were left with a note from the owner at Petsmart in Baton Rouge on Saturday, Aug. 13. Normally the animals would have been sent to animal control, but the North Side Humane Society stepped in to try and find them a home. Now, they need your help.

The two cats are in poor condition at the moment because they are grieving the loss of their owner, says the vet who issued their physical checkup. The rescue organization says the two cats are refusing to eat or drink. This is common for older animals that are abandoned in this way.

The North Side Humane Society is trying to either track down the owners or find a suitable home for them. If you know any information or would like to help, please call (225) 964-6992.
