A Baton Rouge man has been arrested and booked into the Saint Mary Parish jail. Michael Bergeron, 34, is accused of killing kittens at a home on Natalie Lane in Patterson, LA.

Saint Mary Parish Sheriff's investigators tell NBC33 News, they got a call about Bergeron and arrested him just before 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24.

Officials say that Bergeron was involved in an arguement with his wife over the kittens. We’re told she left the home, and when she returned, several of the kittens had gone missing. When investigators were called to the home, they discovered two of the missing kittens. Both were dead.

Bergeron is from Baton Rouge. He's facing two counts of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals charges. He's in the St. Mary Parish Prison, and, so far, a bond has not been set.
