NBC NATIONAL NEWS — A Christmas Eve surprise as a deer came crashing into a home in Utah.

A five-foot deer came crashing into a home in Bountiful on Saturday, Dec. 24 during the night.

The family spent about two hours peeking through the door and taking pictures as they waited for wildlife officers to help get the deer out.

Officers with the Division of Wildlife Resources say they did have to put the deer down to get him out.
