Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — This Valentine’s Day, fall head over heels for a four-legged companion during the PetSmart Charities National Adoption Weekend the weekend of Feb. 10-12 at your neighborhood PetSmart® store. PetSmart Charities, the largest funder of animal-welfare efforts, and more than 2,000 animal welfare organizations will provide opportunities for pet adoptions in one PetSmart store in Baton Rouge joining more than 1,210 PetSmart stores in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico to find lifelong, loving homes for thousands of pets. Special extended parking lot events are also being held in select PetSmart locations to provide even more animals that need homes.

This is the first National Adoption Weekend in 2012 and is proudly sponsored by Purina® Pro Plan®, Tidy Cats® and PetSmart® in the U.S. and Puerto Rico and Purina® Pro Plan®, MAXX Scoop® and PetSmart® in Canada.
