NBC NATIONAL NEWS — A special guest could be greeting President Obama during his trip to Colombia this weekend.

It's a miniature donkey decked out in stars and stripes.

It also has a fitting name "Demo" after the Democratic party.

The former mayor of the village of Turbaco wants to give the animal to Mr. Obama as a token of his and the villagers' admiration.

The mayor said the donkey is so little that it should easily fit on air force one.

President Obama will be attending the Summit of the Americas which begins in Cartagena on Saturday.
