A kitten was tossed from a moving vehicle on the Causeway Bridge Tuesday, the Louisana Humane Society said.

A medical supply salesman spotted the kitten roll across two lanes of traffic. The salesman told the Humane Society that the terrified kitten darted for a culvert to avoid being hit by the vehicles.

The Humane Society said the salesman told them he believed the kitten to be thrown from a vehicle about two cars ahead of him. A description of the vehicle wasn’t available.

After seeing the incident, the salesman called the Causeway Police Department.

The kitten was reportedly seen Thursday night on the south side of end of the bridge. Crews continue to search for the kitten, the Human Society said.

Jeff Dorson with the Humane Society said abandoning kittens in high traffic areas has been the subject of several high-profile investigations over the years.
