NBC NATIONAL NEWS — An Afghanistan war veteran who suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder says he is about to lose his home because of the dog he got to deal with the symptoms.
Eugene Ovsishcher bought the dog on the advice of a doctor to help him deal with the anxiety he developed while fighting overseas.
However, his New York City apartment does not allow dogs and has since served him with eviction papers.
They maintain that he hasn't proven the dog is a medical necessity.
Ovsishcher says he is going to fight to stay and keep the dog.
