Four bombs killed at least six people and injured 17 thursday in Ramadi, Iraq. Two roadside bombs exploded at a military checkpoint between Ramadi's main market and the provincial government offices.
The blasts were followed by two suicide car bombs, one which went off near the hospital where rescuers were bringing victims from the other attacks for treatment. The deputy governor for Anbar province blamed the attacks on Al Qaeda. Anbar province was the heartland of a Sunni Islamist insurgency after the 2003 U.S. led invasion of Iraq.
