Port Allen, La (NBC33) — Officials at the Air Liquide chemical plant tell NBC33 News the plant in Port Allen is back open and running as normal tonight.

Last week, the plant was shut down and 200 people had to be evacuated after tanks with acetylene exploded and caught fire.

People living nearby still tell NBC33 there are problems with a gas odor inside their homes.

Air Liquide says they're looking into those claims.
