6th District Congressional Race Quiet

Monday, November 1, 2010 - 3:33pm

There's one race you have not heard a lot about- the 6th District U.S. Congressional match-up between incumbent Bill Cassidy and Democrat Merritt McDonald. So far, only incumbent Republican Bill Cassidy is campaigning. But he's not unopposed. Democrat Merritt McDonald made a last minute decision to throw his hat in the ring on the last day of qualifying.

McDonald is running on ideals, making a bid to simplify government. Cassidy is running on his record. Both candidates agree that the hot topic of healthcare reform leaves voters with more questions than answers, and neither think government run healthcare is the right solution.
