Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Adding a tree to your garden is a huge step and requires some help, but homeowners often wonder where they can plant the tree so that it will grow correctly and be safe.
In the state of Louisiana, all persons doing work on your trees are required by law to hold a state permit, to insure they are doing the work safe and correct.
Trees can be close to your house and be safe, they just need to be cared for and not ignored. Inspect your trees a few time a year and watch for changes in the health and structure.
Having to remove a large tree from the garden is hard. This type of work requires safe, qualified person doing the work. Inexperienced removal can lead to limbs falling through property, or the tree can be pruned incorrectly, causing further damage lasting years down the road.
